Some people wait a lifetime to follow their dreams—others, like Sascha, just shift into gear and go. Better known as Saschi On Tour, the 47-year-old from Straußfurt in Thuringia, Germany, is living proof that it's never too late to rewrite your story.
I first met Saschi on the Dudes of Dust Rally in Morocco—and from the moment we crossed paths, we hit it off perfectly. He’s exactly the kind of person you hope to meet on the road: open-hearted, full of energy, and driven by real curiosity about the world. His enthusiasm isn’t just contagious—it’s downright inspiring.
For nearly three decades, Saschi worked in industrial construction, his days filled with “work, work, and more work.” But in 2023, with the support of his wife and after becoming a grandfather, he left his job to chase a lifelong passion: adventure motorcycling. His first long tour included four weeks in Iran—a journey that changed his entire perspective. “What matters isn’t stuff or money,” he says. “It’s time.”
Now he’s heading into his boldest challenge yet: riding the Pamir Highway and exploring the Middle East—this time with his daughter. It’s the kind of once-in-a-lifetime journey that blends rugged terrain, deep culture, and strong family bonds.
